ABOUT

Since 2006, I have helped several students gain admission to selective colleges and universities ( including an Ivy League business school), to obtain scholarships, and to improve their test scores. I have developed special expertise in assisting students from multicultural and international backgrounds, as well as upper middle class families with unique situations.

As a high school senior, I applied to 20 colleges and universities, was awarded over $500,000 in scholarships, and gained admission to 4 of the 8 Ivy League institutions (University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown). Because of my stellar performance on the SAT, I was also designated as a National Achievement Finalist.

I bring my 20 years of experience in higher education as faculty, staff, and consultant, as well as my passion for helping students succeed, to my work every day. Let's get started!

I've got the skills to reduce your college bills! I am completing a PhD at the University of Michigan, where I also earned a M.A. I attended Stanford University and Spelman College during my undergraduate education. I have have been awarded prestigious fellowships for my  graduate studies, have assisted in writing grant proposals for colleges and universities, and have served on scholarship committees.

In the process of guiding students toward greater career clarity, I put them in touch with my colleagues in their chosen fields of endeavor to gain additional occupational insights. I also have access to tutors in math and other subjects, as well as specialists in areas like disability accommodations and international admissions.

VP Operations/Finance

As much as it helps to have the additional voices of coaches and consultants encouraging and/or pushing your child to greatness, the real (M)VPs are you, the parents. You will be responsible for making sure that our assignments are being completed at home, and making sure your student acknowledges the privilege of personalized assistance with the complex nature of college admissions and scholarship applications.

VP Implementation

More than (M)VPs, my students are VVIPs (Valuable Visionaries Igniting Potential). By working with me, students gain confidence in themselves, discover hidden strengths, and learn to face internal challenges. They also get informed and energized about their long-term goals. This proactive approach helps them accomplish more immediate tasks. Once they realize that their future is in their hands, the sky is the limit.
